You will also be given growth opportunities enabling you to progress within the company structure.\n\nProject Manager:\n\nOur Project Managers will initiate the Project from Sales Hand over through to the execution & close out ensuring successful delivery of product to site c/w invoice tracking in line with agreed budgets. As a Project Manager you will co-ordinate & track multiple client projects in line with the business needs using a set process as below from Order intake to delivery on site.\n\nThe role will be a mix of office based and site based, so good communication skills, technical knowledge and construction experience is essential.
Being target driven with a strong drive for delivering projects on time are a must have attribute to be successful in securing this opportunity.\n\nMain Duties / Key Responsibilities:\n\nThe role of a Project Manager is to “pro-actively drive on time project delivery, on budget and to a high technical standard to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and repeat business.\n\nProject launch\n\n- Review quotation, supporting documentation and email history to familiarise yourself with the project.\n\n- Speak to your direct Sales contact to understand customer requirements, stakeholders and expectations\n\n- Lead project launch meeting with customer to ensure their scope is clearly understood, expectations are clear from both sides, highlight/mitigate risks and agreeing on ongoing communication plan.\n\n- Agree format for regular communication (internal and with customer) with clear agenda and issued minutes.\n\nDelivery\n\n- Create an achievable project plan following SLA’s agreed during project launch\n\n- Schedule tasks to achieve this plan ensuring project is resourced accordingly, quickly communicate/escalate if information or comments are late causing delay to plan\n\n- Pro-actively drive company and customer team to ensure plan is achieved\n\nBudget control\n\n- Manage project to deliver on customer agreed budget.\n\n- Identify, communicate and justify commercial scope change at the point of variation to obtain commercial approval to proceed from the budget owner within our customers organisation\n\nTechnical\n\n- Monitors revisions and ensure timely intervention if designs do not quickly converge to a solution (in lien with plan)\n\n- Ensure open lines of communication between internal teams and customer technical lead.\n\n- Assist in the resolution of blockers preventing drawings being issued.\n\nProject close down\n\n- Arrange project close out meeting to discuss project performance and lessons learnt\n\n- Discuss future projects to implement these lessons learnt\n\nJob Dimension / Scope:\n\nThe project manager must pro-actively manage multiple customer stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully and in line with our core values. They are at the forefront of the business in terms of building customer relationships and gaining future opportunities.\n\nKey Competencies:\n\nKnowledge\n\n * Knowledge of modern construction methods focusing on company product interfaces\n\n * Project Management best practise (risk management, planning, cost management, communication etc)\n\n * A basic/good technical understanding of structural steel projects and/or construction projects\n\nSkills\n\n * A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and client facing skills\n\n * MS Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint\n\n * Scheduling / planning\n\n * Ability to multi-task with excellent time management\n\n * High level of accountability for plans, action, delivery and outcome\n\n * Commercial awareness (budget, forecast, margin etc)\n\n * Problem solving\n\nExperience\n\n * Project management experience (in a technical environment)\n\n * Construction experience (design process and/or site)\n\n * Leading teams to achieve a successful outcome\n\nWhat will you need?\n\n * 2 years (minimum) experience as a Project Manager or similar\n\n * Project management Cradle to Grave experience with Critical Path Analysis understanding\n\n * Task & time management with tracking nature engrained\n\n * Confident in expediting of Issues\n\n * Urgency & on the front foot whilst being pragmatic\n\n * Strong communicator, written & verbal\n\n * Similar manufacturing background (Sheet Steel, Fabrication), Construction is desirable\n\n * PM Qualification (APM) is desirable
