Project Manager
The Project Manager will oversee all stages of solar and storage installations, with a primary focus on residential projects in Northern California. You will work closely with clients, sales teams, and field staff to ensure seamless project execution, managing timelines, budgets, resources, and client communication to meet quality, safety, and profitability standards. Key Responsibilities: ● Project Execution & Oversight: ○ Oversee all phases of project management, from initiation to closeout, ensuring each project is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. ○ Conduct thorough contract reviews to confirm scope of work, forecasting margins accurately to maximize profitability. ○ Ensure all internal timelines and milestones are met, prioritizing efficient resource management to optimize project throughput across the pipeline. ● Client & Stakeholder Communication: ○ Serve as the primary client liaison, leading a team-driven approach to maintain frequent and transparent communication with clients. Ensure clients have a clear understanding of project scope, timelines, and progress, fostering trust and satisfaction. ○ Guide team members in delivering consistent updates, promptly addressing client questions or concerns to reinforce a positive project experience. Proactively manage communication to keep clients fully informed, ensuring they feel supported and well-informed throughout each stage of the project. ○ Facilitate discussions with the sales team on potential change orders and adjustments, educating them on utility processes and any project-specific nuances. ● Quality, Safety, & Compliance: ○ Uphold the highest standards of safety and quality, coordinating with site managers and field teams to confirm compliance with all regulatory codes and client requirements. ○ Work closely with the Senior Field Construction Manager to review each job site, verifying scope accuracy, and achieving target margins. ○ Monitor permitting timelines diligently, ensuring compliance with all permitting requirements and preventing project delays. ● Resource & Supply Chain Management: ○ Collaborate with warehouse, distribution, and vendor teams to forecast equipment needs, minimizing supply chain disruptions and managing inventory efficiently. ○ Oversee equipment utilization to ensure efficiency, minimize waste, and monitor costs, supporting cost-effective operations and optimal resource use. ○ Identify and suggest potential cost-saving opportunities, collaborating with the management team to enhance project margins and improve overall efficiency. Act as a key contributor to strategies that promote sustainable and cost-effective resource management. ● Financial Management: ○ Track project costs and forecast budget needs throughout each project’s lifecycle to maintain financial accountability. ○ Drive sustainable cash flow by coordinating a mix of projects that achieve smooth cash-out schedules. ○ Work closely with sales and management to review contracts, and monitor project financial health for maximum profitability. Qualifications: -Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 3 years managing solar, energy storage, or related construction projects. Knowledge of both residential and commercial solar applications is highly . - Technical Expertise: ○ Strong proficiency with construction drawings, including the ability to interpret and apply relevant codes (NEC and AHJ standards). ○ Knowledge of structural and geotechnical engineering concepts is beneficial. ○ Proficiency in project management software, MS Office, and Google Workspace.
