Our team is seeking a project management professional with federal IT Portfolio Management (CPIC) experience to manage and oversee delivery and operations of a contract at a large federal agency in the Washington, DC metro area.

The Project Manager is expected to introduce and implement new processes and quality assurance procedures and be extremely customer-focused. The Project Manager will lead subordinate managers and their staff and will develop and deliver key program deliverables, including workflow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and weekly/monthly performance reports. The Project Manager will manage the IT Portfolio Management workstream and assist with the governance and enterprise architecture workstreams to advise the client on best practices and path forward to an increased level of maturity.

Candidates must:

·        Have experience leading a federal IT Portfolio Management/CPIC team

·        Understand and have familiarity with federal financial & IT data

• Have thorough knowledge of and experience with customer service practices and client relationship management
• Possess strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Have 3-5 years of experience in project management and personnel management
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience with IT project management
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Required:

·        Bachelor’s degree

·        Ability to gain and maintain a public trust clearance

Desired:

·        Master’s degree or other advanced degree

·        A background in staff planning and personnel management

·        Technology Business Management (CTBME) certification

·        Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

·        Federal IT Portfolio Management experience (5+ years)

·        Experience in USDA or other civilian agencies
