Project Manager

PIPECARE is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to join our team in Houston, USA, specializing in the oil and gas industry. Position Summary The general role of the Project Manager includes managing operational projects and mobilization of resources to the Oil & Gas fields, servicing the Oil & Gas pipelines, arranging field surveys and verifications, demobilization of equipment upon completion, and reporting. The candidate will lead a project team, producing, executing, and controlling the project budget. Key Responsibilities & Authorities Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, resources, and risk management strategies. Establish clear project objectives and milestones. Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements. Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure availability of resources. Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Implement cost control measures to optimize project costs and maximize profitability. Quality Assurance and Control: Establish quality standards and procedures to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed industry requirements and client expectations. Conduct regular quality inspections and audits. Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations, administration, and compliance with contractual obligations. Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, correspondence, and records. Generate regular progress reports and performance metrics for project stakeholders. Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities. Commissioning and Handover: Coordinate commissioning activities and ensure a smooth transition to the operational phase. Facilitate project handover to the client or operations team, including documentation and training. Customer Management: Maintain communication with customers at all times. Manage customer expectations, needs, and critical project execution and performance. Skills/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or relevant). Minimum 5 years of operation planning experience. Experience in the Oil and Gas sector or EPC contracting. Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level. Accountability Timely project execution and report submission. Project manpower control. Safety measures ensured at the site. Physical and Mental Requirements: Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells. Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively. Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively. Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments. Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
