Position: Project Manager

As the client side Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role in delivering one of the largest renewable projects in the northwest of the UK. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the end-to-end management of a very large renewable, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality delivery.
- Planning & Scheduling: Work closely with the Project Controls team to develop and manage detailed project schedules, pinpointing critical paths and key milestones.
- Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with sub-contractor delivery partners, DNO’s and regulatory bodies.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential project risks to ensure smooth project execution.
- Contract Management: Pre contract and post contract responsibility to oversee contract negotiations and management with suppliers and contractors.
- Technical Oversight: Working with the engineering team identify and mitigate design and technical risks.
- Budget Control: Monitor and report on project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Permitting & Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and adhered to.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Implement and enforce top-tier safety protocols.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications: HNC or higher in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Project Management Certification: APM, Prince2, or other recognized qualifications.
- Experience: 4-5 years managing complex projects ideally within the power, renewable or utilities environment
- Project Management Skills: Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design tools.
