As experts in renewable energy, we boast comprehensive experience in every facet of onshore wind energy project lifecycle, spanning identification, design, development, construction, and operation across Europe.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager specialising in onshore wind energy to join our esteemed team. Reporting directly to the Head of UK, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to our mission from our office located in the Liverpool area. The position entails a hybrid work schedule with frequent travel within the UK and occasional international trips.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee and manage the construction of onshore wind projects, ensuring effective project management and administration.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate the project team, including external consultants, contractors, and service providers.
  • Planning and Monitoring: Continuously plan and monitor project costs, timelines, and quality. Report project status to senior management.
  • HSE Implementation: Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements. Monitor and report on project health and safety and manage planning and environmental permit conditions.
  • Anti-Corruption Measures: Implement anti-corruption protocols, including risk assessment, training, transparent incident reporting, and contractor monitoring. Ensure project reporting aligns with company standards.
  • Internal Communication: Foster effective communication and coordination among project staff.
  • Meeting Management: Conduct regular project meetings, record minutes, and track agreed actions. Manage internal project reporting, spending, progress tracking, payment tracking, and project documentation.
  • Tender Management: Oversee the tendering process for small work packages.
  • Design Finalisation: Work with the technical design team to finalize project designs.
  • Tool Utilisation: Use internal tools for payments, project tracking, safety, contract management, and risk management.

Qualifications for Success:

  • 3 to 5 years of demonstrable experience in renewable energy project management, preferably in onshore wind.
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, such as electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational abilities, adept at multitasking and prioritizing workload in a dynamic environment.
  • A mindset geared towards continuous improvement, coupled with enthusiasm and drive to thrive in a high-growth setting.
  • Collaborative team player, willing to share information and contribute to collective success.
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail and a knack for proposing effective new solutions.
