Project Manager
Job Description
Throwing a few empty jars into your recycling bin isn't going to save the planet.
OK, it's a start, but if you want to make a real impact, you need to think bigger.
Reducing carbon emissions in the construction industry? Now you're talking about billions of tonnes of CO2.
We’re looking for a Project Manager who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help a start-up manage around £5m in R&D projects.
You'll play a key role in building the systems and processes that will power the company’s next phase of growth. From developing an internal project management system to allocating resources across various workstreams, you'll make sure they remain efficient, and hit the milestones necessary to succeed.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing and refining an internal project management system suited to coordinating multiple workstreams.
- Managing complex, grant-funded R&D projects, ensuring milestones are met and resources are efficiently allocated.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align goals and ensure smooth project execution.
- Helping build the scalable infrastructure that will enable the company to rapidly scale as it grows.
What about you?
Because of the complex nature of the projects and workstreams, you'll probably have a STEM degree from a good university.
You'll be confident with spreadsheets and developing systems to track a wide range of workload and resource, ideally gained within a start-up environment where shifting priorities are common.
You'll also need to be happy working on-site every day, collaborating and coordinating with the chemists & engineers in the laboratory, as well as the senior leadership team.
