Freelance Project Manager – Retail & Industrial Fit-Out (Nottingham) \n Location: Nottingham\n Position: Freelance Project Manager\n Duration: 6 Months\n Rate: Competitive (DOE)\n Project Value: £4M\n Sector: Retail & Industrial Fit-Out (Including Heavy M&E & Refrigeration)\nWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a £4M retail fit-out project in Nottingham. This role requires someone with a strong background in retail and industrial fit-outs, ideally with experience in heavy M&E installations, refrigeration units, and complex service integrations.\nKey Responsibilities:\n✔ Oversee the full fit-out lifecycle, from planning to completion\n✔ Manage M&E, refrigeration units, and specialist subcontractors\n✔ Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards\n✔ Lead health & safety compliance, risk assessments, and method statements\n✔ Coordinate with design teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues\n✔ Manage programme scheduling, progress reporting, and cost control\n✔ Liaise with clients, landlords, and external consultants to ensure smooth project delivery\nRequirements:\n✔ Proven experience as a Project Manager in retail or industrial fit-out\n✔ Strong background in heavy M&E, refrigeration, and complex service integration\n✔ Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and logistics\n✔ Proficiency in project programming, cost control, and contract management\n✔ SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certification \n✔ Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
