Job Summary
This role is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and strategic professional to shape the future of our Architectural Division, championing operational efficiency and driving meaningful changes.
The highly motivated and skilled Project Manager will lead operational and strategic initiatives within our Architectural Division. This role emphasizes internal process enhancement, operational efficiency, and interdepartmental collaboration to support organizational growth and prepare for future challenges. While not primarily focused on financial management, this position is pivotal in driving the successful implementation of internal projects and operational improvements. As the organization evolves, this role will transition to include client and project management responsibilities, focusing on complex, high-priority assignments aligned with business objectives and long-term success
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of strategic initiatives and operational projects.
- Mentor and support team members to ensure professional growth and alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
- Support the development of best practices and standards for operational excellence.
- Participate in quality control processes, ensuring all documentation aligns with architectural and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate effective communication within the division and across departments.
- Provide insights and recommendations for organizational improvement based on project outcomes.
- Become immersed in the client’s brand (design), standards, and policies for program implementation.
- Translates clients’ design concepts into workable construction systems, evaluates alternatives to develop solutions, and maintains quality technical and design control.
- Complete the technical review and quality assurance/quality control of projects by reviewing various levels of documents (SD, DD, CD, BID, Permit, etc.) for completeness and accuracy.
- May participate in marketing efforts, including client presentations
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong operational and strategic planning skills, with the ability to implement and manage change effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and collaboration across teams.
- Expertise in architectural processes, technical detailing, and construction documentation.
- Proven ability to drive innovation and optimize workflows.
- Ability to resolve issues using sound judgment and creative problem-solving.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentorship and team development.
- Proficiency in architectural software, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and working knowledge of REVIT.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is . A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in architectural project management is necessary, including at least 3 years in progressively responsible management roles.
- Experience with high-end and quick-service restaurant projects, tenant improvement, and site survey processes .
- Knowledge of the design-build approach, with the ability to support the development and execution of design-build projects and work with Menemsha Construction and external partners.
- Familiarity with permit expediting and architectural planning is required.
- Architectural licensure is but not required.
