Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer/Project Manager\nLocation: Gatwick, UK\nContract: 12 months (Outside IR35)\n\nWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Project Engineer/Project Manager to join a dynamic team within a leading process company based in Gatwick. This exciting contract opportunity offers a chance to work on high-profile projects and make a tangible impact in the mechanical and piping engineering fields.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Manage and oversee mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion.\n\n * \n\n Coordinate all aspects of mechanical design, installation, and commissioning for process systems.\n\n * \n\n Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget, adhering to quality and safety standards.\n\n * \n\n Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external contractors to ensure project objectives are met.\n\n * \n\n Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of mechanical and piping activities.\n\n * \n\n Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site teams.\n\n * \n\n Prepare detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and project documentation.\n\n * \n\n Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Experience:\n\n * \n\n Strong mechanical engineering background with extensive experience in mechanical/piping systems.\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in project management and delivering mechanical projects within a process industry environment.\n\n * \n\n Previous involvement in managing large-scale mechanical and piping projects.\n\n * \n\n Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the mechanical and process engineering sectors.\n\n * \n\n Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.\n\n * \n\n Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\n * \n\n Previous experience working in a contract-based role is highly desirable
