WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

The Project Manager manages projects independently and oversees the design process and technical staff members. In this role you will actively participate in the project design and production phases, gradually acquiring experience in project and client management under the guidance of a DL 2, SR DL, and EM. In this role, you are also responsible for the completion of QA/QC process on projects. This role works closely with Senior Leaders on additional projects. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and profitability of assigned projects, as well as, managing, the engineers and staff. You'll get exposure to public sector projects that include Roadway Planning and Design - Municipal and Country Road projects from planning through construction inspections, and Water Wastewater projects to serve private development and public expansions.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Managing public sector projects
  • Ensure the completion of QA/QC process of projects
  • Responsible for all project financials on all projects managed and project task given
  • Maintaining frequent communication with client regarding project
  • Proposal preparation
  • Overseeing the technical staff and managing development and performance
  • Strong sense of teaming and training of technical and production staff
  • Assist with executing the strategic and/or sales plan for your team
  • Other duties as assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Civil 3D, or discipline-specific software
  • Proficient in Dunaway CAD standards
  • Proficient in Dunaway design standards

SKILLS:

  • In-depth technical knowledge of the line of business
  • Ability to understand and deliver project requirements successfully
  • Strong understanding of project financial and performance metrics
  • Proficient in preparing contract estimates
  • Ability to design and manage multi-discipline projects and multiple projects at a time
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Ability to recognize what your limitations are
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Effective negotiation skills

EXPERIENCE:

  • 8 total years of experience
  • Generally, 6 or more years of civil design experience
  • Generally, 2 or more years of experience as a P.E. or 9 years of relevant civil design experience without a degree
  • 1+ years of project tasks management, including financial analysis experience required
  • 0-2 years of supervisory experience
  • 0-2 years of business development experience

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or 9 years of relevant civil design experience without a degree
