Project Manager - Commercial Development

About The Role

In this role the successful candidate will work across a broad network of business stakeholders to lead on projects that support the commercial development agenda to remove manual tasks, promote automation and improve execution in stores for customers.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Work with technology to find a solution on pack size / weight changes in range resets for better in store execution
  • Develop the milestone plan to deliver the changes including communications and training
  • Ensure business plan targets are met in relation to range reduction workstream
  • Lead the review of promotions end to end to deliver technical systems improvements on how we load, process, forecast and execute promotions for customers
  • Building a one to three year commercial development plan, agreed with the commercial function
  • Support with the wider workstreams on range including the reduction plan, ranging rules and the management of products in and out of the business

This is role operates over a four day working week. Based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

  • Strong engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Broad knowledge of retail operations and end to end product flow
  • A strong knowledge of commercial, pricing and promotions systems
  • Ability to champion pace, simplicity and lead change
  • Strong interpersonal skills – confident and articulate with the ability to negotiate with and influence a range of stakeholders up to Director level
  • Strong background in leadership, coaching and development of cross-functional team
