Job Brief

A Project Manager (PM) with Atlas Metal Works (AMW) is oftentimes the first contact a customer has with our company. The PM must be knowledgeable of our product line, organized, able to make decisions and solve problems. This knowledge allows the PM to create estimates, acquire material, have the work produced, communicate with customer and invoice when complete.

The goal of a PM is to develop and maintain relationships with customers by providing excellent service and quality products at the best value we can offer.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers
• Develop AMW customer base and service their needs
• Attend to the Service Counter as needed
• Develops cost estimates and proposals by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
• Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Manage the approval process
• Prepare drawings and/or sketches and work orders for release to Production
• Submit and track project shop drawings and submittals
• Buy out materials and outside vendors as needed
• Create and submit weekly invoices to Accounts Receivable for billing
• Update fabrication schedules
• Attends Production Meetings
• Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities
• Responsible for financial tracking

Requirements

• Position requires an organized person with the ability to think on their feet with limited supervision
• In depth knowledge of metal fabrication
• Outstanding communication ability
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities
• Accurately field measure site conditions as required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software
