Job Description
The Project Manager, Development Operations is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of teams involved in the development of a new store from beginning through completion. The Project Manager, Development Operations is responsible to handle and organize a large volume of streams, interfacing with all levels of management at Eataly North America, in order to support the achievement of all the project goals within the constraints of scope, time, quality and budget.
Reports to the Director, Development Operations.
- Collaborates closely with the Director, Development Operations to develop, implement and monitor standard operating procedures for the development of new stores
- Reviews financial information and monitors budget to accurate forecasting
- Responsible for scheduling, planning and coordinating with vendors, external consultant and internal teams to meet timeline and archive projects goals as defined
- Optimizes the allocation of necessary inputs and apply them to meet pre-defined objectives
- Partners with Operations, Construction and Design, Finance and HR teams at a Stores and Corporates level in development of different streams
- Coordinates project’s program requirements with different departments
- Maintains constant dialogue with vendors, external consultant and internal teams
- Manages and effectively prioritizes own work and the work/schedule of vendors, external consultant and internal teams
- Provides on-site support and guidance when needed
- Analyzes competitor concepts and makes informed recommendations with regards to concept development
- Performs market researches and analysis on different concepts (retail, restaurants, QSR) to be presented to Store and Corporate Leadership team
- Supports in setting departmental goals and encourage interdepartmental collaboration partnering with Director, Store Operations and Store Leadership team
- Works in operations capacity in new stores as needed, at the direction of the Director of Development
- Performs other duties as assigned
The annual compensation for this role is $85,000- $100,000
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4+ years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality setting
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience managing large project budgets
- Exceptional project management and time-management skills
- Excellent communication, motivation and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with Italian cuisine and wine highly
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- Availability to travel up to 40% of the time
