Location: Germany or UK (Frequent travel to Germany)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum plus benefits

Project: Initial £10 million project

Role Overview



We are seeking a Project Manager with an engineering background to oversee the installation of renewable energy systems at a key manufacturing site in Germany. The project, with an initial budget £10 million, is focused on integrating renewable energy technologies to improve the site's energy efficiency and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have experience in either renewable energy or the broader energy sector and will manage the project from planning through to execution, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within scope, and on budget. The position offers the flexibility to be based in the UK or Germany, with regular travel to Germany required.



Key Responsibilities:



* Project Planning & Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the renewable energy installation project, ensuring it aligns with the client’s objectives, timelines, and budget.



* Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.



* Resource Management: Manage the allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient project execution.



* Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks, particularly those associated with energy installations, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project delivery.



* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the project meets all relevant regulations, particularly those related to renewable energy or energy sector installations, and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.



* Budget Control: Monitor and manage the project budget of £10 million, ensuring financial targets are met, and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.



* Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to ensure all work meets both industry standards and client expectations.



* Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the project team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring all team members are aligned with project goals.



* Reporting: Provide detailed project updates and reports to senior management, clients, and stakeholders on progress, risks, and financial performance.



* Contractor Oversight: Manage external contractors and vendors, ensuring contractual obligations are met and any issues are resolved promptly.



Qualifications & Experience:



* Proven experience managing projects in either the renewable energy sector or the broader energy industry.



* Fluency in both German and English is essential.



* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.



* Familiarity with project management methodologies



* Experience with budget management, scheduling, and financial oversight of large-scale projects.



* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to energy installations.



* Ability to thrive under pressure and meet critical project deadlines.
