Assist in the development of detailed estimates at different levels of completion. This includes determining labor, material and equipment costs for multiple disciplines Including:

  • Calculate complete takeoff of scope of work
  • Solicit pricing from qualified vendors and subcontractors.
  • Assist in the leveling of subcontractor and vendor bids.
  • Develop a holistic strategy for each project from concept to construction. Determine areas for self-perform trades, material selection and areas for value engineering. Support the self-perform groups, materials team and manufacturing team with project information, quantities, submittal information and delivery sequencing.
  • Assist in the management of a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is utilized.
  • Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
  • Identify cost trends to assist company in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in multi-family Industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement and LEAN Construction methods.
  • Passion for quality design and estimate completion.

Experience in estimating Roofing, Siding, Fire, Flood, large ground up and large renovations projects.
