Project Manager (Finance)
Job Description
Our client, a Global FMCG brand, are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the project stays on track, within budget and meets key milestones while delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the project's financial data by reviewing budget forecasts and actuals monthly
- Regularly update financial forecasts (latest estimates - LE) to reflect current spending estimates and project phasing ensuring that weekly updates are provided to keep the project on track
- LE vs LA analysis - conduct ongoing analysis to identify areas where estimates are budget and mitigate risks when estimates exceed budget
- Forecast resource utilisation and ensure timesheet recharges are accurately reflected in project costs to manage expenses
- Maintain focus on timelines, scope and budgetary constraints, ensuring that the project continues to progress smoothly and within scope
- Project risk management
- Stakeholder management
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills including analysing budgets, financial forecasts and variances
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in handling inflight projects and the ability to work within a fast paced environment to ensure project goals are met
This is an Outside IR35 contract opportunity with a hybrid working model.
Please note - candidates for this role MUST be able to work on site at our client's Glasgow based office.
