Project Manager - Global Marine & Navy – Fire/Detection

What you will doThe role will be working in the Global Marine & Navy Fire Team based in Manchester or Sunbury-on-Thames managing Fixed Fire protection/Fire Detection projects on military vessels for Navy’s worldwide.What we can offerCompetitive salaryBonus incentivePaid holidays and sick pay.Comprehensive benefits package including 7% match pension, free life assurance, free private medical, employee assistance program, employee referral scheme, employee discounts including high street brands, cycle 2 work scheme and discount on Johnson Controls security products.Extensive product and on the job/cross training opportunities with outstanding resources availableEncouraging and collaborative ethosCareer development through various career laddersAccess to business resource groups and training on things we value.How you will do itUnderstanding and interpreting client’s technical specifications and commercial documentation.Organizing any deliverable packages.Consulting with design manager and requesting resourcing based on contract deliverables.Obtaining quotes from suppliers and procurement of equipment.Organizing of goods to be shipped and generation of all relevant shipping documentation.Consulting with project team on a daily basisManaging the contract/project plan (MS Project)Consulting directly with the customer and being the main point of contractFinancially responsibility for projects / Developing progress and financial reports for the Tyco management team; Revenue/Billing Forecasts, Managing Contract cost Control (Cost to Complete Sheet), Attending internal contract review meetings monthly.Ensuring that projects are brought to conclusion on time within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.Managing the contract/project plan (MS Project)There will be some travel in the UK, but Overseas travel may be required from time to time.What we look for EssentialExperience in Project ManagementExcellent communication skills - Consulting directly with the client and internal project team.Experience in interpreting clients’ technical specificationsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office packagesFull UK Diving License.SC UK MOD Security clearance will be required, screening provided by JCI.PreferredProject Management QualificationHNC/HND in Engineering (Engineering Background)Experience in the Marine IndustryExperience with MoD contractsExperience in the Fire Protection or Fire Detection industry – Fire RoleExperience in HVAC/Chilled Water Plant Industry – HVAC Role#LI-NT1#LI-Hybrid
