PROJECT MANAGER - CABLES

Our client, a large EPCI business, is hiring for a number of HVAC and HVDC cable (export and array) Project Managers on 2 keynote european projects. The role will be based in the UK and will sit within the European PMO function. The client is a multi-billion turnover global firm and has around 30 projects with values between £3m to £600m within Europe.

TASKS

• Lead and build out the project team fostering cross-functional collaboration, definition of the project execution approach and supervision of the project handover
• takeover implementation planning as well as monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to achieve all project goals.
• Oversee project implementation to identify best practices in cost control, resource efficiency, risk management and HSE.
• Build and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effective communication with all stakeholders and central point of contact for the customer as escalation point for project issues.
• Monitoring and control of project financial data.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE WILL BE:

• At least 8 years of experience of project management or equivalent managing large infrastructure projects
• Experience of managing a team within a matrix organization.
• Experience with project goals, costs, plans and suppliers / subcontractors.
• Experience in project execution, with strong communication problem-solving, negotiation and coaching skills.
• Established contractual understandings.
• High level of commitment, flexibility & teamwork as well as goal and customer orientation
• PMP, IPMA or other project management certificates are of advantage.
• Availability for international travel.
