Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Project Manager to lead and coordinate a diverse portfolio of projects across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for improving the lives of K-12 students struggling with reading. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively prioritize and manage the tech roadmap for our engineering team while also building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Manage project resources, including budget, timeline, and personnel.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, developing mitigation plans as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, program managers, and technical teams.
- Prioritize and manage the technology roadmap for the engineering team, aligning with organizational goals and resource constraints.
- Analyze and synthesize complex information to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Oversee the work of a Business Analyst to ensure operational support and requirements gathering are aligned with project objectives.
- Present project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership, effectively communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in project management, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful project management in a fast-paced environment.
- 5-7 years experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Pivotal Tracker).
