Project Manager - Land Mobile Radio (LMR)

The Project Manager - Land Mobile Radio (LMR) will aggressively manage and implements scope of work (SOW) requirements to ensure the attainment of project goals and objectives, while concurrently leading and managing a team of subordinate project managers. In addition to providing billable services to the customer, the Project Manager will lead internal staff towards success. This individual is ultimately responsible for all that succeeds or fails on their assigned projects. Responsibilities:Support a company culture of peer accountabilityManage, lead, and direct all deployment activities, teams, vendors, internal personnel, and subcontractors. Coordinate and optimize internal personnel Meet regularly with clients, anticipate future technology/contract needs and strategies to maximize CE performance and involvementSuccessfully manage multiple projects, understanding and effectively interfacing with multiple clients and their respective teamsActively participate in the recruiting and training of project staff, contracts, and other required resources to secure additional clients and projects. This may also include vetting and reviewing future opportunities and making recommendations for their viability and profitability.Review, monitor, and improve existing processes and interactions with clients to maximize efficiencies and productivityWork closely with team members to ensure proper methods, strategy, and approaches for the timely completion of milestonesRelease the final product to the customer, handing over project documentation, manuals, source code, and Network layoutsAnticipate, plan, and execute the implied tasks associated with projectsMake independent financial expenditures up to $50k to support required project activities, including sub-contractors, internal labor, or material purchases. Decisions greater than $50k must be referred to the LMR Regional Operations Manager for review and approvalSupervise subordinate project managers through performance reviews, daily supervision, problem resolution, hiring/firing recommendations, and general managementProvide recommendations on staffing and project assignments, including providing opinions and guidance on hiring/firing project managers and support personnel.Interpret, execute, and negotiate project decisions by the contract on behalf of CE, which includes but is not limited to delays, change orders, schedule adjustments, and deliverablesIdentify and negotiate change orders with prime/customerResponsible for profit and loss at the project levelDemonstrate the highest regard for integrity and honestyAbility to work in a constant state of alertness and safe mannerAll other duties as assigned Qualifications:High School Diploma plus or graduation from a certified vocational school with an emphasis in the field of electronic systemsA minimum of 5 years of experience in installing and maintaining Land Mobile Radio, In-Building DAS, and/or related systemsA minimum of 2 years of experience in project management of Land Mobile Radio, In-Building DAS, and/or related systemsExperience working with teams on completing projects on time/scope/budgetMust have reliable transportation, hold a valid driver’s license, and meet clear/acceptable CE fleet policy standardsAbility to manage and coordinate internal CE personnel and subcontractorsObtain security clearances and badges as requiredDiligent attention to safety requiredPreferred Qualifications:PMI’s PMP Certification is a plus. This certification may be required for specific contracts and is a minimum qualification for those assigned to the project.
