Project Manager (Lighting)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in lighting/electrical to join our expanding design and project management team.

You will support the team in successfully delivering unique lighting projects and products to the UK’s Restaurant , Bar and Hospitality Groups along with some of the most prestigious Super Prime Residential and Superyachts in the world.

My client is a very well known, heritage, family-owned business based in Hertfordshire with an enviable, international reputation for the very best design, the highest levels of quality and offering exemplary service.

Responsibilities & Duties

You will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion and beyond. You will report to the Directors and work closely with the Heads of the Product Design, Technical, Purchasing and Production teams to facilitate the effective delivery of projects.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

Degree educated in a relevant field.

At least 3 years’ experience in Project Management.

At least 3 years’ experience in the lighting/electrical industry.

Impeccable written and spoken English.

Strong technical knowledge of lighting products and ancillary components.

Strong technical knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.

Demonstrable diligence and attention to detail.

Valid passport and driving license.

The willingness and ability to travel within the UK , Europe and globally if required.

Advantageous But Not Essential Qualifications & Skills

Experience in marine lighting.

Proficiency in the use of “Orderwise” business management software or other CRM software.

Proficiency in a second language, spoken and written.

Experience in quality control.

Location:

This position is office based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire with the opportunity / requirement for travel, both domestically and internationally.

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week with some start / finish time flexibility available
