Project Manager - Special Vehicles

The One Group are pleased to be working with an Automotive company in Bedfordshire who boast a range of facilities and are seeking a Special Vehicles Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

As a member of the Special Vehicles Team you will be responsible for project management support on special vehicle projects where the projects can vary from service support of vehicle fleets through to managing a ground up vehicle development/conversion projects.

The day-to-day duties include:

• Project manager vehicle maintenance repair, vehicle conversion, system integration and test verification and validation
• Cost control including managing budgets, actual spend and forecasted cash flow
• BOM management, engage with the engineering team ensuring timely critical design releases and Engineering Timings
• Report the project status to the MD of the Special Vehicles department

What we are looking for:

• A detailed knowledge of the vehicle design and development and vehicle assembly NPI processes
• Project Manager qualification
• Understanding of vehicle legislative and testing/certification requirements
• Knowledge of PDM systems
• Able to obtain SC or DV clearance
