Location: 50% remote in Germany (HQ in Hamburg)
The client is an IPP company that is fully devoted to spearheading the worldwide shift towards renewable energy while upholding principles of sustainability and social responsibility.
The company's core strategy centres around securing steady, enduring cash flows through power purchase agreements (PPAs) with utilities, governments, and corporations. The client actively engages in the creation and procurement of fresh renewable energy initiatives, boasting an impressive pipeline of projects currently in development.
Its primary operations involve the ownership and administration of an extensive collection of solar and wind power facilities across several European countries including Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain and Finland. Collectively they have over 200 employees who are actively shaping the future of the energy system.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance for internal asset management of our solar parks, offering support throughout construction, testing, commissioning, and maintenance projects, including repowering initiatives.
- Assist in planning repowering projects, conducting risk assessments, and performing market analyses (benchmarking).
- Evaluate system performance and availability of existing parks through remote and on-site visits.
- Manage insurance claims and provide warranty support.
- Oversee the selection, commissioning, control, and evaluation of expert reports.
- Foster knowledge transfer between ongoing operations and investments.
- Standardise technical management contract content, negotiate EPC service contracts and component purchase contracts independently.
- Develop and implement technical project optimisations and cost-effective, timely measures.
Qualifications
- Hold a university or technical college degree in electrical/environmental engineering, engineering, or industrial engineering.
- Preferably possess professional experience in technical management within the solar industry or operations and maintenance (O&M) sector.
- Experience in contract negotiations would be beneficial.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of the MS Office suite, especially Excel, along with excellent English and German communication skills.
- Possess strong analytical abilities and a grasp of complex concepts.
- Exhibit initiative, commitment, decisive decision-making skills, and cooperative behaviour.
- Willingness to occasionally travel for inspections, commissioning, and acceptance purposes.
