Job Description:
As a Project Manager / Xactimate Estimator, you will be responsible for overseeing multifamily construction and restoration projects from initial assessment to final completion. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. This role involves working closely with clients, subcontractors, and team members to create and manage estimates, schedules, and budgets using Xactimate software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating & Budgeting: Utilize Xactimate to create accurate project estimates, develop budgets, and present detailed proposals to clients.
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and assist onsite supervisors in all phases of multifamily construction and restoration projects, ensuring they are completed within established timelines.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, keeping them informed of project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Subcontractor Management: Source, negotiate, and manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, work orders, and daily project logs.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise throughout the project lifecycle to minimize delays and cost overruns.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management and Xactimate estimating, preferably in multifamily construction or large-scale restoration projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Xactimate software is required; strong knowledge of project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to anticipate issues and implement proactive solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail in estimating, planning, and executing project tasks.
