Barrow-in-Furness. 1 day per week or 2 consecutive days per fortnight.

£40,000+ depending on exp.

Security Clearance required.

This position will see you work in the NAS Network Planning team, this team comprises of 9 Planning professionals of all grades and experience who provide Planning support to the NAS teams both on a regular schedule and bespoke basis. The team is a close-knit group with good relationships across other Submarines facilities and presents excellent opportunities for career development.

What you need:

· A good understanding of the structure, organisation, processes and culture of Line of Business, so as to be able to support implementation of appropriate PM&C approaches

· Ability to apply problem solving techniques to routine situations or situations of moderate complexity under limited supervision, in the field of PM&C, taking requirements and data from internal (project) sources and external (customer, competitor and academic) areas

· The ability to gather information, supporting the development of solutions and the implementation approaches

· Should be proficient in Microsoft office, primavera P6, SAP and knowledge of Team Centre

What you’ll be doing:

· Performing intermediate project reporting & scheduling

· Leading the PM&C processes on a small non-complex project or a work package of a larger project

· Identify, assess and managing risks to the success of the project, applying appropriate PM&C methods and tools.

· Preparing realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans), tracking activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate

· Consolidating expertise from multiple sources, including third party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives, supporting and promoting the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation
