- Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program. Oversees all aspects of projects/program.
- Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program.
- Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program.
- May require a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Leads and directs the work of others.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Story Behind the Need Business Group & Key Projects: Business Group:
- Smaller global team that manages programmatic design change management
- Team takes requests for teams who want to change some element from data centers, vet those from a technical perspective, ensure change makes sense from business perspective, integrated technically across disciples in the design, push it out to active data center design portfolio that they are managing.
- Work in APAC, EMEA, ETC
- Basis of design for data center, site adapt it at.
- TIDUS machine learning, liquid cooling, etc. The number of changes has overtaxed the team.
Key Projects:
- Going to assign specific global programmatic design changes depending on when they start.
- Some will also depend on skillset being brought to the table
Reason for requests:
- Scale to meet machine learning business objectives (AWS) that team cannot keep up with the number of requests they are receiving
- Based on machine learning and TIDUS data center workload
Typical Day in the Role: Day to Day:
- Assigned multiple programmatic design changes that they will be responsible for.
- Ensuring cross functional stakeholder alignment of the change
- Evaluating the technical readiness of the change
- Communicating with leadership within the business
- General maintenance of PCM tools that they use to track their programs.
Interaction level with team:
- Daily with HM, weekly stand up with entire team, multiple sync meetings with groups throughout the week, daily stand-up call for initiative that team is all a part of.

- Relevant size scope similar to data centers (large construction, not looking for residential, fairly good mix in resume)

- Project management certification, engineering degree
