They support a diverse range of clients across the energy and infrastructure sectors, including landowners, developers, funders, and investors.

From offshore wind farms to EV charging infrastructure, they specialise in providing end-to-end legal support, ensuring clients receive timely and strategic guidance on their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on Energy & Infrastructure Property Transactions - Provide expert legal advice on property aspects of energy and infrastructure projects, including land acquisition, leases, and project financing for large-scale developments.
  • Cross-sector & Cross-border Transactions - Work on a diverse range of projects within the energy sector, including offshore and onshore wind, solar, hydrogen, battery storage, and more, often with a cross-jurisdictional focus.
  • Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management - Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulators, offering strategic advice and ensuring the successful delivery of energy-related projects.
  • Business Development & Client Growth - Contribute to business development efforts, including tendering, proposals, and marketing initiatives, aimed at expanding the firm's energy and infrastructure property practice.
  • Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing - Collaborate with colleagues from various practice areas, mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the team's knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Scottish-qualified lawyer, with specific experience in energy and/or infrastructure property work, ideally within a large regional or practice.
  • Proven expertise in property transactions related to energy projects, including wind (both on and offshore), solar, hydrogen, battery storage, and infrastructure developments.
  • Strong academic background, with excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and risk management skills.
  • Commercially focused, with a keen awareness of the client's business needs and a track record in business development.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and demonstrates leadership potential by mentoring junior lawyers.
