Property Maintenance Technician

General Purpose:

Responsible for general maintenance and repair on assigned properties.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance on electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
Occasional light carpentry, drywall and painting
Follow all OSHA and safety training instructions
Work with Property Manager on oversite of property
Work with area suppliers and outside contractors
Responsible for maintaining clutter-free fleet vehicle, if assigned
Responsible for careful operation of bucket truck, power equipment, etc.
Coordinate completed Work Orders with Dispatch
Accountable for Purchase Order (PO) book and timely submission of paperwork to Accounting
Submit timesheets each day to account for time spent at each location
Responsible for keeping all tools and equipment in good working order
Maintaining an up-to-date tool list
Light curb appeal duties, including cleaning up litter and debris
Snow removal
Salting and clearing of sidewalks and walkways
Maintain a professional appearance & courtesy to others
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

High School Diploma or GED or trade school
Certifications or Licenses: Driver’s license, CFC Universal Certification, Contractor’s License (desirable)
Familiarity and experience with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
Pays attention to detail and reports property problems to Property Manager
Organized in submitting timesheets and account for time spent at each location
Ability to organize paperwork regarding each location and follow through with vendors
Attend safety classes as required
Ability to lift 80 pounds
Ability to operate electric and gas powered equipment and machinery
Willing to work evenings or weekends, including rotating on-call schedule, as assigned
