We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory systems, sourcing materials, and negotiating contracts to ensure the company operates efficiently and cost-effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management, as well as the ability to collaborate with various departments to meet organizational goals.

- Prior Solar Purchasing and Material order experience a huge plus! 

Duties

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability through effective inventory management systems.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Oversee vendor management, maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate timely delivery of materials and supplies.
• Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly to remain competitive.
• Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Generate BOM lists & project related material orders in sequence with Project time-lines

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing management, preferably in a residential solar company.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and MRP software.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
• Experience in vendor management and sourcing processes.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions based on market conditions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
