CAPP, a leading supplier of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing parts & equipment, is looking for a capable leader to help drive our procurement team's success.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • The right candidate will oversee the Procurement Department and all sourcing for customer and inventory needs
  • Responsible to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, seek best possible contracts and find most profitable suppliers and vendors
  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks
  • Analyze data; use data to drive decision making, forecast, and work within budgets
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Directly manages two or more employees in the Purchasing Department
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Other duties may be assigned

 

Who You Are:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience managing $60m+ in spend per year
  • Proven experience with sourcing, negotiation and vendor management
  • Ability to gather and analyze data
  • Possess strong leadership skills and networking capabilities
  • Ability to effectively present information, respond and draw valid conclusions
  • Displays regular interest in market dynamics along with business sense
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Proficiency with ERP systems
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration
  • Previous experience in HVAC or related industry
  • Proficiency with Google Suite
