Purchasing Manager
Purchasing Manager Telford Up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) Bonus Permanent Monday- Friday Do you want to work for a well-established and credible manufacturing organisation who are well known in the area for being an employer of choice? We are supporting this company in their recruitment of a Purchasing Manager, who will oversee the purchasing functions within their busy and efficient manufacturing site. A key function of this role will require you to focus on strategic sourcing and planning, supplier and contract negotiations, supplier performance, and supporting various projects to reduce costs whilst maintaining quality, and support CAPEX. You will be working closely with suppliers across the UK, Europe, and globally with occasional travel as required, as well as working closely with group companies to actively drive purchasing collaboration. Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to: Lead and develop strategic plans within the purchasing department Manage purchasing spend and budget Vendor management including supplier and contract negotiations, supplier performance, and supplier relationships Analyse current vendor list and identify areas of improvement Drive purchasing collaboration between multiple sites globally Support with cost down initiatives and CAPEX Some overseas travel to visit suppliers and sites Work closely with internal departments such as Production, Engineering, and Quality Skills and Experience Previous experience in a Purchasing Manager/ Supervisor/ or Senior role within the manufacturing sector will be essential Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness Experience in delivering cost-down initiatives Experience in vendor management including supplier reviews, negotiations, and contracts CIPS qualification would be Knowledge and understanding of procurement software The application process: Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce.
