General Contractor has an immediate opening for a Full-Time, In-Office Purchasing/Procurement Administrator in its Ramsey, NJ office.
Desired Experience:
- 3-5 Years Minimum experience working in the purchasing/procurement department of a construction company
- Experience in the creation and distribution of purchase orders
- Ability to reconcile problem invoices to purchase orders and packing slips while bringing the any issue to a timely resolution
- Experience with negotiation of material pricing
- Experience creating initial material forecasts and delivery schedules for all construction projects
- Experience with material submittals
- Other related projects, as they arise
Skills/Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strict attention to detail
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Ability to process requests quickly and efficiently
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated and self-starter
