Purchasing Specialist

This full-time day shift position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the purchasing, receiving and distribution areas. Will act as the primary contact between internal departments and outside vendors.

We seek:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with two-years previous purchasing with stockroom experience helpful.
  • NetSuite experience , but must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Software, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with other staff, management, suppliers & customers at all levels.
  • Willing to work in a team environment.
  • Shows initiative and is proactive in addressing issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Aids in troubleshooting anything that is interrupting efficiency and workflow. Attends and contributes to meetings relevant to the position and responsibilities.
  • Must have strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Should possess demonstrated negotiation skills as well as analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Requires the ability to handle cumbersome freight items as well as the physical work necessary to process inventory.
  • Knowledge of the operation of a pallet jack is helpfu
