QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and lead QA automation frameworks for integration, functional, regression, and performance tests.
  • Mentor and coach automation engineers to implement adequate tests for web applications, APIs, and data.
  • Review test designs, test plans, and test cases to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Develop QA metrics to measure the effectiveness of automation.
  • Work in an Agile environment, following the best practices of Agile Scrum.
  • Analyze requirements, seek clarifications, contribute to acceptance criteria, estimate effort, and stay committed.
  • Create smart and adequate test plans to ensure product quality and stability.
  • Write and automate test cases to ensure acceptance criteria are met.
  • Develop automated regression test suites for continued assurance of product quality.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) that mimics end-to-end user scenarios.
  • Validate production deployments by running sanity tests and data validations.
  • Provide the best possible customer support by troubleshooting, resolving production incidents, and eliminating root cause problems.
  • Introduce innovative solutions to reduce operational risks by automating repetitive tasks across the SDLC.
  • Familiarize with AWS Cloud and prepare to migrate applications, services, and data.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of QA automation engineering experience in developing enterprise-scale applications.
  • Expertise in QA automation frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing, using tools such as:
    • Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI, JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.
  • Expertise in QA automation of data flows, data analysis, and SQL.
  • Experience in testing for non-functional requirements.
  • Expertise in enterprise integration testing using:
    • RESTful APIs, Kafka messaging, etc.
  • Understanding of application architectures, data models, search engines, caching solutions, file management, and private/public cloud infrastructures.
  • Familiarity with Authentication, Authorization, and Security.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud to migrate applications, services, and data.

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent work experience
