QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript)
The IT company Andersen invites an experienced QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) to work on a large-scale project for one of our UK customers. The customer is the world's largest P&C insurance company and the leading commercial lines insurer in the United States, with operations in 54 countries, it provides commercial and personal property-casualty insurance and supplemental health insurance. The company has administrative offices in Zurich, New York, London, Paris and elsewhere and employs approximately 40,000 people worldwide. For the project we are looking for a QA Automation Engineer who will actively contribute to ensuring the quality of customer products and collaborate with both manual and automated engineering teams. Technology stack on the project: JavaScript, Playwright, Selenium, Gherkins, Postman, Fiddler, REST API, HTTP, REST, SSL, HTML. Responsibilities: - Taking charge of creating and executing test plans, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers. - Ensuring that software adheres to specifications during the release process. - Applying essential testing concepts and making valuable contributions to the overall testing strategy. - Designing, specifying, writing, and executing tests in critical areas. - Applying essential testing concepts to make valuable contributions to overall testing strategy. - Writing automated tests and maintaining a library of test scripts and scenarios for execution. - Proactively identifying defects in live production systems through synthetic and similar tests. - Participating in every feature of the software’s development cycle, starting from its early stages. Must-haves: - Experience as a QA Automation Engineer for 3,5+ years. - Experience owning test plans and defining test strategies. - Skills in testing web applications, REST APIs, and mobile applications. - Strong understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, REST, SSL, HTML, JS). - Familiarity with tools like Playwright, Selenium, Gherkins, Postman, and Fiddler. - Familiarity with performance testing tools and optimization concepts. - Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. - Experienced with Jira and Jira testing concepts and constructs. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Level of English – Intermediate+ and above.
