We develop for desktop, cloud and hybrid solutions.Position SummaryWe’re looking for a technically adept Tester / QA Automation Engineer.You’ll use various technologies / best practices to develop high-quality tests including automation, manual functional and non-functional (performance and security), so you’ll need technical experience in all these disciplines. You will drive and research automated testing best practices and lead the automation strategy set out by the organisation. You’ll write test strategies and plans alongside our talented team of Developers, Business Analysts, Testers and Project Managers, collaborating on technical solutions and communicating your goals and results.Our team goal is to display continuous improvement in development, and you’ll play a big part in making this happen. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of released products meets the high standards our customers and partners have come to expect.We are looking for someone with a technical mind (ideally experience in a technical testing / engineering background). You must be self-motivated and proactive to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.Good communication skills are essential, both verbal and written as you will be communicating with our development teams based in the UK.ResponsibilitiesReview requirements and design test plans and test cases with associated test data for functional and non-functional requirements.Develop, execute and maintain automation tests and results.Review automation test scope in each phase of build/deployment to ensure the testing is appropriate for the given timeline.Use troubleshooting techniques and debug code to diagnose failing tests.Support the deployment to production systems by executing and validating test results.Perform end-to-end functional, integration / smoke tests.Perform performance, scalability and penetration tests.Report and document defects found during test cycles and participate in defect prioritization sessions.Participate in troubleshooting to identify the root cause and resolution.Preparing documentation for presenting test results and progress reports to the project managers and stakeholders.Continuously review and improve testing techniques and tools.RequirementsExceptional trouble-shooting capability with attention to detailCan understand programming constructs well enough to implement automated tests using well known tools and frameworksRelevant experience in development and testing.Previous experience of scripting with JavaScript including experience with libraries such as jQuery), HTML5, CSS.At least one server-side object orientated language (e.g. Java, C#, C++).Experience working with relational databases and SQL.Experience of Selenium WebDriver.Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Ranorex desirable.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to react well to changing requirements with a positive attitude.Aptitude and desire to learn new skills and concepts.BenefitsCompetitive salary depending on skills and experience.Health insurance.Provident fund.15 days holiday.Company iPad.Pluralsight training library.
