Quality Assurance Manager

Benefits:



* 28 days per year including bank holidays. An extra 3 discretionary holidays are provided to be used as the company directs, usually this covers the Christmas break.

Theo James are delighted once again to be supporting a wonderful business in their search for a Quality Assurance Manager. A company boasting over 25 years of success and history within the welding and fabrication sector, this organization has built its success on an enviable reputation for manufacturing high-quality products. Embedded within a profitable market, they are continuing to grow on their ever-growing success by recruiting an experienced Quality professional to manage a small team within the business.



40 hours per week, working around the 38 hour factory week with the extra 2 hours to be used flexibly [Factory hours are: Monday to Thursday, 7.00am-4.00pm, including 30-minute lunch break; and Friday, 7.00am-11.00am]



Key Responsibilities



* Supplier Parts Inspection on incoming orders & BP3 internal orders



* QA checks at Quality Gates through the build process



* Liaise with relevant managers with QA + SPI findings, to fix outstanding issues



* Use the NCR system to record and manage all defects



* Analysis NCR data to identify trends, then review with relevant managers



* Put improvement projects into relevant channels to address NCR trends



* Present the overall company Quality Picture monthly



* Attending meetings as necessary to represent QA across the company



* Complete any additional Quality-related tasks as are required



* Participate in the Continuous Improvement process



* Manage your team to help you achieve all the above



* Develop your people to uplift their skills and capabilities



Skills and Requirements:



* Ability and experience in leading and motivating a team, maintaining a positive working environment



* Good understanding of Quality Assurance, & industry, best-practice



* Proven ability to analyse data to identify patterns and trends



* Strong attention to detail



* Good at root causing & solving problems



* Willing to get stuck into all aspects of daily tasks, not just being office-based



* Ideally have experience in welding inspection
