Quality Assurance Manager
My client is a tier one main contractor in search of a Quality Assurance Manager, whilst the job title may not suggest so the type of take my client has put on this role, truly is the first of its kind.
You will not be based on one project, you will be tasked with working across multiple projects which range from new build residential projects, to commercial offices, through to sports venues and public sector works.
The role will involve working within the pre con stage of each project, working with the manufacturers of each product to understand from day one the products and their details, to enhance and upskill and allow you to be ahead of the curve and familiar with regulations and product types pre building works commencing.
Duties will also involve common duties associated within Quality Assurance position such as, inspecting the construction of development projects and contribute to the provision of a high-quality service to customers (internal and external), whilst ensuring the quality of the development activities are of the highest standards. Carry out regular site visits; recording observations and NCRs, and providing a project report within 24hrs of attendance, including monitoring the close out of observations, actions and NCRs. Provide targeted training to address skills gaps and aligning content with industry and project specific standards. Provide support and guidance to project staff to assist with the close out of NCRs, observations and actions Undertake investigations and root cause analysis of instances of non-conformance, including the identification of corrective measures and long-term preventative measures. Ensure that materials, construction standards and site practices are satisfactory and adhere to industry standards. Engage with manufacturers and supply chain to ensure quality materials are used, arrange training and direct teams to literature to ensure adherence to manufacturing systems.
