What You’ll Do:As a Quality Assurance Technician / Inspector, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products at every stage of the manufacturing process. You will:

• Inspect and Test Products: Conduct in-process inspections and measurements on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
• Track & Analyze Quality: Maintain accurate records, including first run samples, family colors, and pouching/converting retain samples.
• Support Continuous Improvement: Audit rework and inspect reworked or resorted products. Track quality trends and resolve issues quickly.
• Ensure Compliance: Enforce food safety and quality assurance standards to ensure compliance with all regulations and customer specifications.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with leadership to communicate quality issues and participate in meetings to improve processes.
• Maintain Equipment: Operate and maintain all inspection and testing equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience: Prior experience in quality assurance or production inspection is a plus, particularly in flexible packaging or printing.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn new software tools.
• Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to document quality-related issues clearly.
• Perception: Excellent vision (with or without corrective lenses) for inspection of printed materials.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual: Proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Industry Experience: Knowledge of various testing methods and quality expectations, particularly in the flexible packaging or printing industries.

• Dental Insurance – On the first of month following 60 days of employment, employees can enroll in dental insurance provided by Mutual of Omaha.
• Vision Insurance – On the first of month following 60 days of employment, employees this voluntary benefit through Mutual of Omaha.
• 401K Plan – Plan entry date is the first of the month following 6 months of service. Company provides its employees with a 100% match up to 1% and 50% match up to 6%.
• Company Paid Short Term – The Short-Term premium is 100% paid by Employer
• Company Paid Long Term – The Long-Term premium is 100% paid by Employer
• Life Insurance – The Basic Life premium is 100% paid by employer and is a flat $20,000 benefit for all FT, benefit eligible employees. Employees have the option to purchase additional voluntary life insurance for self, spouse, and dependent children.
• Vacation/PTO: The amount of vacation/paid time off (PTO) employees receive each year starts at 80 hours (2 weeks) each year, which accrues at a rate of 1.538 hours per week, and increases with the length of employment.
• 6 Company Paid Holidays – Eligible after 60 days of employment.
• Sick Leave – Eligible for paid sick days at the rate of 3 days (24 hours) per year after 6 months of service (prorated for per the calendar year).
