We take pride in delivering high-quality concrete products and exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a Quality Control (QC) Field Technician to ensure the highest standards in our ready-mix concrete products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily quality performance, ensuring all concrete meets required job and project specifications.
- Perform on-site testing of concrete, including slump, air content, temperature, and unit weight measurements.
- Adjust concrete mixes as necessary to maintain compliance with specifications and job requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot quality issues such as real-time specification deviations, customer complaints, and warranty concerns.
- Collaborate with sales representatives and production teams to resolve quality concerns and improve customer satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of test results and mix adjustments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Ensure all testing equipment is clean, maintained, and in proper working condition. Report or repair issues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in ready-mix concrete quality control .
- ACI Level 1 Certification strongly .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while managing multiple tasks.
- Adaptability and willingness to safely work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, contractors, and team members.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, reach and crouch for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands and arms to handle tools and testing equipment.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. often.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
