We are currently hiring a part-time to full-time Quality Control Coordinator. If you are interested in a career in fashion and want to gain knowledge and experience, this is an excellent opportunity. Responsibilities:
- Daily inspection for fabric flaws, construction defects, and production issues
- Communicates efficiently and effectively with production team when issues arise, and offers solutions to resolve
- Coordinates TOP review with Design and Production Department, and communicates results to contractor
- Liaison between Production Department and contractor
- Performs final QC on all production, and reports findings to contractor and Head of Production
- Liaison between Shipping Department and contractor to ensure finishing and packing is accurate upon delivery
- Measures to verify all garments meet spec and/or are within tolerance
- Documents all stages of QC process, and manages all information referenced by team
- Additional supportive tasks, as needed
Required:
- A true passion for the Fashion business
- Minimum of 2 years related experience
- Solid understanding of garment construction, garment specification, and reading spec sheets
- Excellent eye for detail
- Must be able to think critically to determine the level of defects and proposing a solution
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills through person to person, phone, text and email
- Ability to follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously an in an efficient manner
- Understanding of fabric, patterns, tech packs, graded specs, and construction techniques
- Proficient in Excel
- Dependable transportation, and the ability to drive to Los Angeles and Orange County contractors, daily
- Reliable work ethic
- Positive attitude
