We are hiring Quality Control Inspector in Arlington, TX.
A Quality Control Inspector examines electronic components, circuit boards, and assemblies to ensure they meet industry standards, quality requirements, and customer specifications. They perform visual inspections, use magnification tools, and operate automated testing equipment to identify defects, measure compliance, and verify product reliability. The role requires adherence to IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, and other industry quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspection of electronic components, PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards), and solder joints based on IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD-001 standards.
- Use magnification tools (microscopes, magnifiers) and automated optical inspection (AOI) systems.
- Identify soldering defects such as cold solder joints, bridging, insufficient solder, and component misalignment.
- Document inspection results and report non-conformities to quality engineers or supervisors.
- Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and in-process inspections to ensure quality compliance.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry standards (IPC, ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and test equipment.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in electronics ).
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or quality control.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or other industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects.
- Experience with AOI, X-ray inspection, or other electronic testing tools is a plus.
- Basic understanding of electronic components and schematics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
