Position Overview: LINK Staffing is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector for one of our clients in the manufacturing sector, specializing in the oil and gas industry. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet the required quality standards. This position plays a critical role in the overall production process, working to inspect and verify products at different stages of manufacturing. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and standards.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of parts and products throughout the manufacturing process.
Perform routine tests on materials and products, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
Record and document inspection results, maintaining accurate records for traceability and reporting purposes.
Collaborate with production teams to identify quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and ensure product consistency.
Review blueprints, technical specifications, and production schedules to understand quality requirements.
Conduct root cause analysis on defects and non-conformance issues and work with teams to implement improvements.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Assist in the preparation of reports for internal and external audits.
Provide training and support to team members on quality control processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in a relevant field ).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in manufacturing or the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of industry standards (such as API, ASTM, ISO) and quality control practices.
Familiarity with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot deviations from quality standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend corrective actions.
Certification in quality control or inspection (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus.
