Responsibilities

  • Maintain, implement, and assist in development of quality control programs

  • Depending on the area assigned to you, ensure adherence to all dimensional quality control programs, welding patterns and standards, and paint quality standards

  • Depending on the area assigned to you, conduct inspections of sub-arc welds and assess the quality and strength of completed welds

  • Depending on the area assigned to you, suggest alternative welding techniques and demonstrate correct wedding procedures

  • Depending on the area assigned to you, examine painted surfaces for defects such as scratches, chips, and uneven finishes.

  • Assist in training new employees, ensuring compliance with our quality and safety standards

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that welders adhere to company standards

  • Be observant, analytical, and possess strong communication skills

  • Follow all safety protocols including wearing PPE and required PPE at all times. Required PPE is defined as gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe boots Additional PPE, such as hard hats, flame-resistant clothing, hearing protection, face shields, respirators, etc, may be required depending on the specific tasks being performed or the work area.

  • Duties, responsibilities, and reporting relationships may fluctuate or evolve in light of your skill, experience, and the company’s needs


The work environment is primarily indoors, and will, at times, be exposed to natural weather elements such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, lightning, snow, and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Qualifications & Experience

  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check is required

  • Prior experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in the metal building, construction, or manufacturing industries

  • Experience with welding and welding inspection

  • Knowledge of Quality Control procedures and standards

  • Strong attention to detail, observation, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication, listening, and problem solving skills

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and tape measures

  • Familiarity with using filet gauges, undercut gauges, and squares for precise measurements and quality inspections

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team

  • Must be able to walk, stand, use hands to handle tools, reach with arms, kneel, stoop, crouch, and talk and hear in noisy environments

  • Must be able to regularly lift and move objects weighing up to 51 lbs independently and occasionally lift and move objects up to 100lbs with the assistance of team lifts.
