The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring EBWE's products meet or exceed customer expectations and specifications. This role focuses on continuous improvement, process control, and quality assurance to drive customer success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for product development and manufacturing in a Lean environment.
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
- Develop, execute, and analyze quality performance metrics, including FPY, FTQ, and PPM.
- Assist in process certification and validation.
- Review customer purchase orders, contracts, and change requests to ensure compliance with quality and process requirements.
- Review supplier purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
- Lead internal and external quality audits, including but not limited to IATF, ISO, and FEMR, ensuring ISO 9000 compliance.
- Collaborate with supplier and customer quality representatives to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Compile, develop, and deliver training materials on quality standards and processes.
- Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
- Utilize and learn to operate test equipment such as AOI, SPI, vision systems, and CMM.
- Travel as required.
Education/ Experience:
- Associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, combined with relevant work experience and/or a Quality Certification (ASQ).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent) .
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Automotive industry experience .
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of statistical principles and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPS, A3, APQP, PPAP, and the 8D problem-solving process.
- Familiarity with IPC standards for electronic manufacturing.
- Proficiency in inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Awareness of general safety, electrostatic discharge (ESD), foreign object damage (FOD), and quality systems.
- Ability to work effectively with customers and suppliers.
