Quality Engineer

Location: Hartford County

Responsibilities:

• Lead in-process inspections
• SolidWorks design work as necessary
• Acts as a liaison between the quality group and manufacturing to help ensure stable production output to minimize customer returns or in-process delays
• Maintain and improve supplier quality system
• Assist with LEAN projects as needed
• Assist in programming automated inspection equipment
• Assist with internal and external AS9100 & ISO9001 audits
• Assist with all QMS requirements
• Assist with FAI and PPAP requirements

Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of quality engineering background in manufacturing experience or equivalent
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO9001 and AS9100
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• MS Office Suite experience
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (E2/JobBoss would be a plus)
• Certified ISO9001/AS9100 internal auditor, is a plus
• Experience with chemical etching, metal forming, metal working a plus

Compensation:

Pay range: $75-$90K based on experience; Benefits include medical insurance, 401K Plan, vacation, holidays and personal days.
