Well-established Defense Contractor located near LAX is looking to bring an experienced Quality Engineering Manager onto their team of dynamic professionals to take part in the development of their highly innovative product line.

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace or related engineering field REQUIRED
• 10+ Years hands on Aerospace Quality Engineering/Assurance Experience
• 5+ Years Management Experience with proven track record
• ASQ CQE, CQM, CQSSBB Certification is highly
• Solid familiarity and comprehension of specifications and standards
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specification requirements, with a solid understanding of GD&T, MIL standards and inspection techniques
• Previous work experience in an organization that supplied OEM
• Customer and supplier quality assurance experience, as well as ISO/AS9000 hands on knowledge
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, welding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, and metal finishing
• Prior hands-on knowledge and experience of aerospace first article requirements based on AS9102 requirements
• Strong knowledge and experience of aerospace configuration control process
• ERP System experience (SAP )
• Continuous process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma hands-on experience
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent required
