Hays Engineering is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a thriving SME capital equipment manufacturer, with an extensive range of clients spanning the globe. This organisation is known for its innovative solutions, first-class service and high-quality machines, which are widely used across the FMCG sector.\n\nThey are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and quality across all our operations. To help them to continue to achieve these high levels of standards, they are seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced HSEQ Coordinator, due to internal promotion.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring HSEQ policies and procedures to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPolicy Implementation: Draft and update HSEQ policies, ensuring compliance with current laws and industry standards.\nRisk Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.\nTraining and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs on HSEQ topics, including emergency procedures and proper use of safety equipment.\nIncident Investigation and Reporting:\nLead investigations into incidents, determine causes, and develop measures to prevent future occurrences.

Maintain records and prepare reports for compliance purposes.\nEnvironmental Management: Ensure operations comply with environmental regulations, including waste management and promoting sustainable practices.\nCompliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with all statutory, regulatory, contractual, and standards requirements.\nContinuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance HSEQ performance.\nQualifications, skills, and essentials:\n\nFormal training and qualifications: An IOSH certificate is essential and a NEBOSH or equivalent certificate is highly desirable.\nExperience:Proven experience in an HSEQ Coordinator or similar role within the manufacturing environment is essential.\nSound knowledge of BRC, ISO management systems, particularly ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards\nStrong analytical, communication, and organisational skills. \nAbility to work independently \nAble to work full-time\n5 days on site near Leeds/ Bradford Airport\nExperience in UK Manufacturing and the right to work in the UK without expiry\nWhat's in it for you?\n\nThis is an employer that recognises talent and offers stable, progressive careers to many of their employees.
