Are you a detail-oriented mechanical inspection professional looking for a rewarding challenge? We have an exciting 10-month contract opportunity for a Level 2 Mechanical Inspector to support cutting-edge operations in vibrant Miami, FL!

As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are met. Get ready to dive into a fast-paced environment, perform hands-on inspections, and make a real impact!

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth visual, physical, and dimensional inspections of machined parts – both in-process and final, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Perform incoming inspections of products and services from external providers to maintain top-notch quality.
• Lead in-process and final inspections of critical features, including hands-on witness inspections.
• Complete and compile detailed final inspection sign-off sheets and inspection packages to ensure precision.
• Ensure that inspection equipment is up to the task of detecting defects and align methodology with drawing intent.
• Review and validate the justification for parts not inspected at final inspection to ensure full accuracy.
• Audit and validate inspection plans to guarantee the highest standards are followed.
• Document and report non-conformances, helping to drive continuous improvement.
• Work within our Quality Management System, receiving training on policies and procedures to help you succeed.
• Record inspection results in our state-of-the-art record retention system.

What We’re Looking For:

• Mechanical inspection experience (Level 2 or equivalent).
• Experience with AS9102 (FAI) to ensure thorough inspection processes.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and other inspection methodologies.
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow precise inspection protocols.
• Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools and equipment.
• Strong capability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• A team player who can work seamlessly within a Quality Management System.

Requirements:

• ITAR compliance is a must due to the nature of the product.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
